Synopsis
- I've been an avid computer user since the age of 7.
- I started using Linux in 1999 and have been hooked ever since.
- Been a Debian user since 2002.
- Started using Ubuntu in April 2005.
- Highly motivated and keen to contribute.
Ubuntu Participation
- Handling the following packages as part of the Cxx Transition:
- ace
- gmetadom
- gtkmm
- jabberoo
- libdc0
- libextractor
- libflash
- ode
- pngwriter
- Attended UDU and took part in the following BOFs:
- Started packaging for MOTU. Have been involved in several packages of which fast-user-switch-applet has been accepted into universe.
- Completed 25% of Bazaar translations for English (Australian) on Rosetta
Currently implementing the IntroDeveloperDocs spec from UDU.
- Have been looking at universe bugs to fix. Currently have one assigned and have asked for more.
- Looking to get involved in the C++ transition.
- Actively participate on the mailing lists and in IRC.
- Continually advocating Ubuntu. Recently convinced the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) to deploy Ubuntu as a server for several Masters students.
