Synopsis

  • I've been an avid computer user since the age of 7.
  • I started using Linux in 1999 and have been hooked ever since.
  • Been a Debian user since 2002.
  • Started using Ubuntu in April 2005.
  • Highly motivated and keen to contribute.

Ubuntu Participation

  • Handling the following packages as part of the Cxx Transition:
    • ace
    • gmetadom
    • gtkmm
    • jabberoo
    • libdc0
    • libextractor
    • libflash
    • ode
    • pngwriter
  • Attended UDU and took part in the following BOFs:
  • Started packaging for MOTU. Have been involved in several packages of which fast-user-switch-applet has been accepted into universe.
  • Completed 25% of Bazaar translations for English (Australian) on Rosetta
  • Currently implementing the IntroDeveloperDocs spec from UDU.

  • Have been looking at universe bugs to fix. Currently have one assigned and have asked for more.
  • Looking to get involved in the C++ transition.
  • Actively participate on the mailing lists and in IRC.
  • Continually advocating Ubuntu. Recently convinced the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) to deploy Ubuntu as a server for several Masters students.
