Personal History

I am a Senior at the University of Wisconsin - Superior studying Computer Science. I found Open Source in High School when my Intro to Programming teacher brought in a few Ubuntu CD's. I have tried various Linux distros, OpenSolaris, FreeBSD, and OpenBSD, but I find my loyalty with Ubuntu and always return.

  • Support on #ubuntu a few hours each week
  • Invited to sit on the Universities Student Technologies Board by out Student Body President and will represent Open Source technologies

Plans

  • Grow the Wisconsin LoCo and foster more activity

  • I am very interested in experiences of new users and in the ways to make it more positive

  • Plan and collaborate with the Minnesota LoCo

  • I would like to set up regularly scheduled meetings online as well as presentations on various subjects aimed at both new users and experienced users alike.
