* 17 September – Linux installation-festival/Linux workshop co-sponsored by AZLOCO/PLUG.

  • Distributed install media to those who requested it.
  • Installed Ubuntu in virtual box using OSX machine
  • Unsuccessful install of Ubuntu on a very old computer so re-installed windows 95 on it.
  • Repaired Firefox with Pale Moon
  • Troubleshooted VPN client
  • Conducted instruction on Prox Mox
  • Set up new Installation Festival server.

  • 6 attendees
  • Discussed plans for upcoming Installation Festival to be held in January co-sponsored with the Cochise Linux User Group. In particular the training that we will have to do for our people to become proficient and comfortable with installation media and installing Ubuntu on other people’s computers.
  • Discussed attendance at other AZLOCO and LUG events around the state.
