This menu item has to do with odds and ends of applications that don't fall under any other category and the Ubuntu has grouped together here. There are many applications that perform simple tasks which can be found under Accessories, such as calculators, terminals, text editors, and other applications to manage many other tasks, such as sticky notes, clocks, and reminder tools.
