Hackers

During UDS-Lucid , the idea for symbolic icons was proposed and the code work in librsvg still remains to be done. For more details , check out > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SymbolicIcons and http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/SymbolicIcons . We need someone to make this a reality.

Testers

Currently , several applications use the same icon used in the notification area in several other locations[menus , window titles], this brakes the consistency in the application/menus. Or the applications have the tray icons hard-coded in their binaries , making it impossible to change the icon used in the tray [ex: vlc , dropbox , xchat , vuze] . You can help fix this by filing bugs in your favorite applications. Request that the developers make it possible to use symbolic icons. Once a bug has been filed in the concerned application , add humanity-icon-theme to the bug too.
