Wallpaper included, look in ~/.themes/Tropic after installation. It has a 3 at the end because this was my 3rd different wallpaper idea for the theme. It is a green mod to the Xubuntu wallpaper... As of Dapper, Ubuntu's interface has been shifting from the infamous brown motif to a new caramel motif. But, in early builds of Dapper, I kinda liked Human better when it was orange (as it is my favourite color). Originally, Tropic was going to be an orange and green theme, but after learning about color coordination and saturation, I decided to take Tropic in a new direction.

== Inspiration ==
I heard over the mailing list that Human and Tangerine were going to be staying for 6.10, so I had to rethink my plan a little. Even though I reworked some of the Human icons into my new Frozen color scheme, that would be useless since we're keeping the current icons. So I needed 2 colors that not only went together nicely, but also worked well with the icons. My inspiration came from a very weird source...the front of my Network Router! It's Silver, and the lights are Green and Yellow!

If Orange, Silver, and Green looked good on a Router, it would be perfect on a desktop!

This idea also allows us to keep the current icons and branding, since they have Orange in them already, and since Orange is one of the 3 major colors, it's perfect!

Tropic Green: #39EB3C

Tropic Orange: #FFA600

Tropic Silver: #EDEDED
People on the mailing list have made comments about my theme in earlier green/orange/silver stages saying things to the effect of "This might make a good default theme for Edgy+1" (or maybe Ubuntu 7.04 to be exact, if you want to be technical). So, I decided to flush out all the non-Ubuntu colors and keep it a nice contrasted Beige and Orange theme.

I originally used the gFlat engine, but today I decided to use Ubuntulooks as the engine. It does make it look better in some places, and I like that! Green tabs anyone? I originally used the gFlat engine, then went a few weeks with Ubuntulooks, but my REAL GTK engine choice is the brand new Murrine engine, offering a nice contemporary Glossy look that seems easier on the eyes.

Okay, so it isn't Gilouche anymore...instead it's my modification of Dark-Vidal (which looked alot like the XFCE 4.4 theme ala Xubuntu) to be more like the real thing. Kinda looks like Ubuntulooks a little actually! Okay, so it isn't Gilouche anymore...or my modification of Dark-Vidal, it's the interesting looking Murrine Metacity theme, looked like a boxed out Ubuntulooks with a consistant glossy finish to the rest of the engine's style.

Tangerine, but with a twist, some of the icons will be modified. Most of the changes are color adjustments, but the major change will be new folders. Human, since I'm aiming for this to be the new default on 7.04, I only want to use more complete icon sets, it looked good with Tangerine but I decided to switch it up when I switched GTK engines because Tangerine wasn't glossy enough to go with the new Murrine engine.

The GTK Theme

I originally used the gFlat engine, then went a few weeks with Ubuntulooks, but my REAL GTK engine choice is the brand new Murrine engine, offering a nice contemporary Glossy look that seems easier on the eyes.

The Metacity Theme

Okay, so it isn't Gilouche anymore...or my modification of Dark-Vidal, it's the interesting looking Murrine Metacity theme, looked like a boxed out Ubuntulooks with a consistant glossy finish to the rest of the engine's style.

Icons

Human, since I'm aiming for this to be the new default on 7.04, I only want to use more complete icon sets, it looked good with Tangerine but I decided to switch it up when I switched GTK engines because Tangerine wasn't glossy enough to go with the new Murrine engine.
