SubmissionGuidelines

Revision 17 as of 2009-04-27 15:47:30

Clear message

These are guidelines on how to structure your pages for long term projects (those who are not for one specific release, only).

Naming

Start a new page for each concept. Choose a short but meaningful name that starts with an uppercase letter. Don't use spaces in the name; use so called CamelCase or underscores instead.

Description

Provide a description of your theme, something short to explain what it is all about.

Concept

Explain your concept. Palettes, demonstration and mockups go here. Follow with references and inspirational material.

Contributions

List contributors to the project.

Images

Don't include large images in the page directly. Rather use thumbnails of 240 pixels height and link to the full size image.

Formats

Submissions should be made in formats that can be read by software available from the Ubuntu Repositories. Preferred image formats include XFC, SVG, and PNG. Preferred sound formats include WAV, FLAC and OGG Vorbis. Master files, which may be further edited, should be maintained in non-lossy formats and made available to the community. Preserving vector graphics, raster layers and channels is important for such materials.
