Focus Groups

Our Focus Groups exist to help introduce users to a particular section of the community. The Beginners Team encourages the community to join us in introducing users to their team. This page covers some things to consider and how to get in touch with us about starting a Focus Group.

Things To Consider

Ubuntu It is highly recommended that focus groups be directly aligned with at least one existing Ubuntu team.

  • (Ie., Wiki FG --> Wiki Admins, Bug FG --> Bug Control)

Ubuntu Is your Team big enough to sustain a mentor program?

Ubuntu FG Leads and Mentors of new Focus Groups can come from outside the Beginners Team. However we ask that they join the Beginners Team as part of the process of their becoming a lead and/or mentor. This means spending a couple weeks getting to know our members and learning how the team works.

What Now

Email the Beginners Team Council Mailing List <ubuntu-beginners-council AT lists.launchpad DOT net> and let us know you would like to work with the Beginners Team.
