Ubuntu Beginners team is re-structured. We are working on our wiki(Page under construction).
We are "An Open Team" and anyone can join us, learn/teach how to contribute to the community.Help the community, Help yourself feel better Smile :)

Please visit our IRC channel #ubuntu-beginners-team on Freenode to talk/know about Beginners team. Please use #ubuntu-beginners for support and clarify your Ubuntu support related queries.

Process

If you are interested in joining the Ubuntu Beginners Team, follow the following steps.

  • Ubuntu Read the introduction and mission statement and familiarize yourself with the current focus groups.
    Ubuntu Subscribe to the mailing list to ensure that you remain up-to-date with what the team is doing.
    Ubuntu We are working in formulating the FGs and the process of mentors and students structuring.
    Ubuntu Add your name to the Seeking Guide list here for now. We will be creating the Seeking guides list for each FGs soon.
    Ubuntu Come hang out with us in the Internet Relay Chat channel #ubuntu-beginners-team on Freenode, most members are active in the channel and it's a good way to introduce yourself and meet us all quickly. You can also take a look at our irc guide which has a selection of chat clients and reviews our rules for using irc.

If you are not sure about joining the Beginners Team, please come by our IRC channel #ubuntu-beginners-team on freenode we would be more then happy to answer any questions you might have.

Requirements

Your BT Guide will help you complete each of these items.

  • Ubuntu Sign the Ubuntu Code of Conduct.
    Ubuntu Have an account on Launchpad
    Ubuntu Have a wiki page describing yourself and your contributions. For help on creating an Ubuntu wiki page See here.
