Mentors and Guides
The Ubuntu Beginners Team (UBT) has two types of guides to assist people as they become involved in the Ubuntu community.
Guides
The first type is the UBT Guide. Guides will help guide a Apprentice along the path of becoming an UBT member. They will assist with setting up a wiki, launchpad page, signing the Ubuntu Code of Conduct and other tasks related to becoming an UBT member.
Mentors
The second type is an UBT Mentor. Mentors will have one or more specific areas of expertise. They will mentor people who wish to become members of other Ubuntu teams such as bug-control, accessibility or lubuntu. Mentors must have received recommendations from other Ubuntu teams related to their area(s) of expertise. This is done to ensure a level of quality.

Membership
To become a member your wiki should show a decent state of achievements or progress. After receiving their two letters of recommendation, and shown significant commitment to the team, a Guide or Mentor should have their prospective member apply for full membership.
