RobertF ? present hello hfsdo anyone else for the meeting ? <-- just here to see how this works :-D ok stefzn73 , first thing is to get enough people attending the meeting ! and today is not a good day hehe, i figured that out already any people in the loco that focus on linux or ubuntu in education? there are people interested in , but not really active what's your location ? i'm in ostend limburg (zonder lidwoord) ok ben deze zomer wel een paar weken in de haan :-D maar niet om te werken JanC ? RobertF ? we start now with the meeting, hoping other will join later ... topic 1. past and future events past event : liege, ubuntu party, 12th June 2010 - as RoberF does not answer, we have no feedback next item planning of events september 2010 as far as i know …4 dipro fairs + 2 other events * guydup (~guydup@d51530769.static.telenet.be) a rejoint #ubuntu-be 05/09 dipro ghent, 12/09 dipro antwerp, 19/09 dipro charleroi and 26/09 dipro hasselt volunteers are welcome (but we have plenty of time!) additionally 18/09 software freedom day * warddr (~warddr@Wikipedia/Warddr) a rejoint #ubuntu-be are there suggestions for activities to organize or to participate in ? sorry I'm late For 26/09 we have 5 volunteers welcome warddr , ok Clamam, well done ! jean7491, we are thinking about organizing something in Lier, small releaseparty or software freedom day, but there are no real plans made yet just an idea about sfd 18/09 in ostend, I started planning a presentation of foss in the "bibliotheek", in cooperation with local organization zandletters not ubuntu oriented, but more foss that can be used by common people warddr : do you have local contact in lier for help ? Not yet, but I'm a local in ostend, my contact is an association working on the "digital kloof" and "vulgarization" of informatica in the public in general This is only a vague idea, much planning is to be done it isn't even sure if we will organize something, but we are thinking about it * pvandewyngaerde est parti (Read error: Connection reset by peer) ok, don't forget that in july and august you can not find people to organize something I'll keep that in mind and try to get support of other ubunteros around lier next item : nielse computer dag 26/09 26/09 nielse computer dag in cooperation with the local computer club  "monitor" we need a coordinator and a team for this event - not yet determined and that's all for the events ... if no comment, topic 2. promotion first item ubuntu-be public relations team jan b (from antwerp) applied for the post of point of contact with the dutch press (see email on 03/06) comment ? please answer to this question : do you agree with the appointment of Jan B as point of contact with the dutch press ? yes i do we have to give him an answer ! +1 Ok for me * stefan73 est parti (Quit: Ik ga weg) hfsdo ? for me its ok guydup , do you follow ? and JanC ? ok, the participants to the meeting agrre with the proposition of Jan B next item – a new banner for ubuntu-be ? as announced 2 weeks ago, we have to select proposals which will be submitted to the be loco team through a poll as we use the official logo, we have to respect the reference : http://design.canonical.com/the-toolkit/ubuntu-brand-guidelines/ : it means we can't modify the logo, but we can add a national element. for now there are 5 propositions : see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/IrcMeetings/SuggestedTopics have a quick look to the proposals Will the quality of the icon (the orange thing) be better in the final version?? of course, jpg is only for use in the web as example Do we have to tell our favorite here and choose one? no, we just have to see if the selection is ok procedure should be 1. to agree with or modify the selection, 2. to organize a poll in launchpad (be loco team) (initiative of mongolito404) during 2 weeks, 3. decision on 31/06 correction 30/06 as there is no 31/06 ! do you have comment and/or perhaps other proposals ? I agree with the selection. +1 just back, did i miss something? i also agree with the selection guydup : about new banner - selection is in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/IrcMeetings/SuggestedTopics and will be subject of a poll mongolito404 will launch the poll tomorrow : members of the loco team will have 2 weeks to vote for 1 of the 5 propositions other comment on this item ? no, i will choose my favorite tommorow ok, next topic 3. support points map status i try to get some posters and ubuntu cd's in schools and libraries for free.Hope they ask for them. http://www.multiseatcomputer.be/tux-posters.html in every library i have to deliver i give some ubuntu cd's to put on the rack for the visitors to loan i am planning to send all flemish libraries a ubuntu cd in september.I just have to figure out postal packing perhaps you could add in your offer posters "de weg naar de vrijheid is open" and "ontketen je computer" i would add such poster to the cd , but again i have to figure out the packing there are only 300 library in flanders if you wish, mail me about the additional posters what is the size of your posters? postermaat: A1 afmetingen:840x600cm poster "ontketen je computer" is a2 and "de weg naar " a1 (+/-) "de weg naar de vrijheid " was printed in 2008 (5.000 ex) and "ontketen je computer" in 2009 (500 ex) i think stocks of posters "de weg naar de vrijheid " is around brussel (i think), JanC knows probably more * warddr est parti (Read error: Connection reset by peer) * warddr (~warddr@Wikipedia/Warddr) a rejoint #ubuntu-be we continue with topic 3. support points map status mongolito404 is working further today, when I logged on the website, I had an invitation to update/create my profile of support point you can check by login on the website, eventually "inhoud aanmaken" if no comment, next topic 4. Things living in the mailing list I can tell a litle more about the t-shirts first item - T-shirts for Ubuntu-be ? update ? Warddr JanC and I have done some research to t-shirts that are both eco-friendly, and social friendly for the employers and we found this: http://www.cotton-shirts.eu/en/organic-fair/earthpositive/t-shirts-earth-positive/ to be the perfect t-shirts If we order 100 t-shirts (if it's a good design and a good price we can easily sell them on release party's and fosdem) we will have to pay €5/t-shirts if it's only one color print, for 2 colors it's €5,75, ... * guydup est parti (Quit: Java user signed off) that's a good price, we can sell for a litle more money (for example €10), and that way we've got some money to buy original ubuntu cd's, or to pay for other actions like this, the next order of t-shirts, ... If we don't print the ubuntu-be logo, just the normal ubuntu logo, we could also contact other loco teams (for example the Dutch loco team) and work together to get a good print, and make it cheaper becouse the more t-shirts we buy the cheaper it becomes *to get a good design Anyone any comments / questions? do you have ideas about design, logo or ... additional element ? Not yet, but we can ask that on the mailing list and ask people to make a design, and vote if we get more than 1 if possible, launch the question before the end of the month ! I'll do that! But do you all agree to make our own t-shirts? That should be decided first the project is not yet elaborated, which design ? do we have enough money to buy 100 t-shirts ? finally in the meeting, not enough participants to decide ! where are we gonna get the money to buy the first order of t_shirts? http://ubuntu-be.org/fr/content/financial-information - we should ask mark vdb for an update of the information I think if we ask the mailing list there will be a design first *soon you can ask several designs : be only (f+n), only dutch text and general * warddr est parti (Remote host closed the connection) btw, taking a decision in ubuntu-be is always a huge problem as we have no organization, but this is another topic ! * warddr (~warddr@Wikipedia/Warddr) a rejoint #ubuntu-be anything else about t-shirts ? did I miss any message about the t-shirts after this: jean7491> you can ask several designs : be only (f+n), only dutch text and general ? i said : btw, taking a decision in ubuntu-be is always a huge problem as we have no organization, but this is another topic ! and anything else about t-shirts ? if nothing else, next item : irc meetings in June - July and August ? i suggest a meeting on 30/06 for new banner's decision and follow-up t-shirt proposal, ... is there a need for regular meetings in july and august ? ... my suggestion : none in july and only 1 meeting in august (18/8), and eventual on call meetings ok by me I can live with that hfsdo ? anyone else ? ok, agreed next item - questions not announced in the agenda ? something else to discuss ? no other question ? I don't have other questions last topic : as i propose, the next irc meeting will be on 30/06/2010 at 21 h. * hfsdo est parti (Quit: Leaving) end of the meeting, thanks for your participation, have a good night ! ok, until 30 june, good night
