Anything important that i missed hi wouter :) we just finish the 1st topic about events, looking for people for dipro leuven on 16/01/2011 ok, good you may continue :) other future events are in the agenda on the web-site next topic # 2. Promotion item #1 t-shirts for Ubuntu-be ... I sent a mail to ward (leading the project), but no answer yet ... it's like this project is dead or he is as warddr is not present today, we wait for his initiative on this issue, or is there a volunteer to continue the project ? jimbauwens :) was it desided yet where to buy the T-shirts? Or which design? gadeynebram: no final decision was made okey but there were some requirements like "fairtrade " T-shirts etc. and you still got a price of €5? gadeynebram: yes, we want it to be "human" ;) woutervddn: I don't remember the exact price warddr found I'll look up some prices and locations of online printing services but certainly less than 8€ I don't know it either, but last meeting there was said something about 5.. on-line or locally around where you live... online woutervddn: I showed some shop that sold ecological (not fair-trade) t-shirts for < 5 € ow. so without the print? with the print which means fair-trade should be possible for < 8 € I assume it was just the first I could find anyway The design for the T-shirt is online I gues? there are some designs on the wiki I mean the winner design of the voting winning* https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/PromotionMaterial/ProposalsT-shirts I also thought maybe we can ask open source designers like OSP if they want to make a design there was just a preselection of 3, but no limit for new proposals! I made a design myself last week (after viewing those from the wiki and the nl forum) but I can't seem to find it right now.. you can post it if you find it btw, it seems that 1 volunteer in charge of the project is a bad solution: a team of several volunteers should be more productive ! I want to join the team we need an ad-hoc team with a volunteer to coordinate the work and exchange of information thanks bram, hoping we will find more interested people for the team or working-group! no problem other comment on this issue ? Well I have one question please send it does ubuntu-be have like a funding or something? I will not be able to pay for the T-shirts till they have all been selled jean7491 you meant the Tshirt-project I suppose? (not U-be in general?) http://ubuntu-be.org/nl/node/14 and http://ubuntu-be.org/nl/content/financial-information the okey I'll read that gadeynebram: we have around 2k € I think ubuntu-be has a reserve that can be use, but of course, our only income is from public gifts jean7491: and from selling stuff idd, money is available to start a project, but only if project is reasonable and well organized personally I would like to know soon whether we will have t-shirts before FOSDEM... ;) okey When is FOSDEM? I'd love to help with the tshirts but as I'm new here I think someone else should take the lead.. first weekend February JanC: it doesn't seem to hard to get them finished by then.. that gives us 3 months.. woutervddn: 2 months really woutervddn: If you'll join, I'll lead. You can always help to find some printing services etc. indeed 2 months.. gadeynebram, not far from where I live is a printing service, I'll ask for prices there.. @ JanC: I'll keep you posted through the mailinglist. I'm not able to join the meeting every week I wish I could help, but I have exams and such, so .. woutervddn: tnx! Also I'd like to ask fairtrade.be if they have any ideas.. gadeynebram: great, and we can move meetign times if that's easier for some people (or set up ad hoc meetings about a topic) good idea! we want it to be fairtrade + "green" if possible at least we start a working-group with 2 volunteers, i propose to ask warddr to join the team or at least to pass his information on this issue other comment on the t-shirts ? yes, I found my design.. here's the link: http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/3686/tshirtlogoonside.png no further comments woutervddn: it might be useful to think about practical (printing) issues too ;) yeah.. I allready thought about that :p but let's leave that up to another time, and continue with the meeting good id.. woutervddn i'll add your design in the wiki, next ... next ... item #2. ubuntu and education : no information ... thx and last item #3: we need a new french press contact, as the current has resigned for personal reason, but no information yet next topic # 3. Update Wiki : suggestion or comment from my side any comment ? topic# 4. Support points map status ... no information about the map ... on the website, there is no information registration for new points of support – a bug report has been written... saw that ☺ i suggest to post an email explaining the procedure how to register as support point it needs to be on the site too idd, but not sure when it will happen I think Pierre & pep` worked on that today? another solution is to add on the web-site a link to a wiki-page explaining the procedure ? (wiki is easy to improve) improve or amend (pep` translated to German) yes, i asked for this afternoon right, I see some bug mails about that the bug has been assigned to the WebEditor team ... ? I have to go bye! * gadeynebram (~gadeynebr@83.101.71.95) a quitté #ubuntu-be bye.. * jimbauwens2 (~yaaic@2002:5153:8a12:0:3ae7:d8ff:fed1:f1e9) a rejoint #ubuntu-be JanC, i'll send you a proposal for a mail on this topic, for review okay * jimbauwens est parti (Quit: Leaving) * jimbauwens2 s'appelle maintenant jimbauwens other comment on this topic ? how to call for new support points ? no comment idem idem next topic # 5. Things living in the mailing list and others questions ? ... For information, newcomer in the belgian local community team (launchpad) last week: maik (DarkEra) already active in ubuntu-nl Remember monthly report november to be completed no later than saturday 4/12 https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/TeamReports/ Other questions not in the agenda ? yes.. about the website.. yes ? I'm running a completly new install of ubuntustudio here, using opera and again I don't see the style as it should be.. I think it's only a problem in opera but not sure.. (firefox has same problem apparently what's the issue? no idea, generally no problem with firefox and chromium woutervddn: is it still an issue when you force refresh? it looks really ieuwi.. I don't know why it occurs.. yes, both in firefox and opera.. even after deleting all cache.. what is your screen size? 1600x900 maybe best make a screenshot and file a bug ok, not too small:) firefox finally showed it right now (after 20 refreshes) hm *-) Really strange! I think the websites hates me :s² woutervddn: do you also have that on other Ubuntu sites? no.. that's the strangest thing.. wiki n stuff loads perfect other comment on this issue ? woutervddn: so file a bug against the ubuntu-be site jean7491: no, let's move on a last item for topic promotion : Customized Ubuntu-be iso file ... last week we spoke about it, is there something new to add ? for next meeting ? not from me (now) also not from me maybe we can leave a program like pitivi away to make usefull plase for the language place eventually could be launch in the mailing list for reactions and propositions and discuss at a next meeting ? maybe I could create a dummy package for ubuntu-restricted-extras but whit the new install isn't a problem anymore how do you mean massimo21? in the install it asks you the new install only provides mp3 playback no jimbauwens: I think ubuntu-restricted-extras can be installed with a checkbox now? it asls you to install the restricted extras yes it's what i mean or does it only install the mp3 codec? I didn't really test that everything i did okay ☺ hmm, last time I checked it was only mp3, but I could be wrong well, easy to test in VirtualBox or so ;) yes and in any case, codecs are installed automaticly when needed but flash is also important firefox asks you now to install flash when needed not the real one what do you mean? a open source version which in some way sucks :) not for flash only java is open java I had this problem when I installed ubuntu for the first time FireFox install gnash or something like that it proposes to install the closed flash too it actually shows 2 or 3 firefox gives you the choise and for that i am shure oh, it must have changed :D I do remember that I had to allow flash in the 'supported by cannonical' tab of the softwarecenter.. ok, tyen there is no problem ubuntu always gets bether also, hopefully the new open source flash project gets better soon * zaphodje est parti (Quit: Ex-Chat) it is getting better as it's already faster than the closed source one in some cases ;) lightspark or whatever it's named but lets move on with the meeting first :) jean7491: other topics left? if no other question, last topic, next irc meeting ? i propose meeting next week, on thursday 09/12/2010 at 21 h. ok for me okido ok, good night I'm in exams then so I'm not sure I can make it.. good night I'm out then, good night. I also have exams end of meeting - thanks to all for your participation, and have a good night !
