<Clamam> For 26/09 we have 5 volunteers
<jean7491> welcome warddr , ok Clamam, well done !
<warddr> jean7491, we are thinking about organizing something in Lier, small releaseparty or software freedom day, but there are no real plans made yet
<warddr> just an idea
<jean7491> about sfd 18/09 in ostend, I started planning a presentation of foss in the "bibliotheek", in cooperation with local organization zandletters
<jean7491> not ubuntu oriented, but more foss that can be used by common people
<jean7491> warddr : do you have local contact in lier for help ?
<warddr> Not yet, but I'm a local
<jean7491> in ostend, my contact is an association working on the "digital kloof" and "vulgarization" of informatica in the public in general
<warddr> This is only a vague idea, much planning is to be done
<warddr> it isn't even sure if we will organize something, but we are thinking about it
* pvandewyngaerde est parti (Read error: Connection reset by peer)
<jean7491> ok, don't forget that in july and august you can not find people to organize something
<warddr> I'll keep that in mind
<jean7491> and try to get support of other ubunteros around lier
<jean7491> next item : nielse computer dag 26/09
<jean7491> 26/09 nielse computer dag in cooperation with the local computer club "monitor"
<jean7491> we need a coordinator and a team for this event - not yet determined
<jean7491> and that's all for the events ...
<jean7491> if no comment, topic 2. promotion
<jean7491> first item ubuntu-be public relations team
<jean7491> jan b (from antwerp) applied for the post of point of contact with the dutch press (see email on 03/06)
<jean7491> comment ?
<jean7491> please answer to this question : do you agree with the appointment of Jan B as point of contact with the dutch press ?
<warddr> yes i do
<jean7491> we have to give him an answer !
<jean7491> +1
<Clamam> Ok for me
* stefan73 est parti (Quit: Ik ga weg)
<jean7491> hfsdo ?
<hfsdo> for me its ok
<jean7491> guydup , do you follow ?
<jean7491> and JanC ?
<jean7491> ok, the participants to the meeting agrre with the proposition of Jan B
<jean7491> next item – a new banner for ubuntu-be ?
<jean7491> as announced 2 weeks ago, we have to select proposals which will be submitted to the be loco team through a poll
<jean7491> as we use the official logo, we have to respect the reference : http://design.canonical.com/the-toolkit/ubuntu-brand-guidelines/ : it means we can't modify the logo, but we can add a national element.
<jean7491> for now there are 5 propositions : see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/IrcMeetings/SuggestedTopics
<jean7491> have a quick look to the proposals
<warddr> Will the quality of the icon (the orange thing) be better in the final version??
<jean7491> of course, jpg is only for use in the web as example
<warddr> Do we have to tell our favorite here and choose one?
<jean7491> no, we just have to see if the selection is ok
<jean7491> procedure should be 1. to agree with or modify the selection, 2. to organize a poll in launchpad (be loco team) (initiative of mongolito404) during 2 weeks, 3. decision on 31/06
<jean7491> correction 30/06 as there is no 31/06 !
<jean7491> do you have comment and/or perhaps other proposals ?
<Clamam> I agree with the selection.
<warddr> +1
<guydup> just back, did i miss something?
<hfsdo> i also agree with the selection
<jean7491> guydup : about new banner - selection is in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BelgianTeam/IrcMeetings/SuggestedTopics and will be subject of a poll
<jean7491> mongolito404 will launch the poll tomorrow : members of the loco team will have 2 weeks to vote for 1 of the 5 propositions
<jean7491> other comment on this item ?
<Clamam> no, i will choose my favorite tommorow
<jean7491> ok, next topic 3. support points map status
<guydup> i try to get some posters and ubuntu cd's in schools and libraries for free.Hope they ask for them.
<guydup> http://www.multiseatcomputer.be/tux-posters.html
<guydup> in every library i have to deliver i give some ubuntu cd's to put on the rack for the visitors to loan
<guydup> i am planning to send all flemish libraries a ubuntu cd in september.I just have to figure out postal packing
<jean7491> perhaps you could add in your offer posters "de weg naar de vrijheid is open" and "ontketen je computer"
<guydup> i would add such poster to the cd , but again i have to figure out the packing
<guydup> there are only 300 library in flanders
<jean7491> if you wish, mail me about the additional posters
<guydup> what is the size of your posters?
<warddr> postermaat: A1 afmetingen:840x600cm
<jean7491> poster "ontketen je computer" is a2 and "de weg naar " a1 (+/-)
<jean7491> "de weg naar de vrijheid " was printed in 2008 (5.000 ex) and "ontketen je computer" in 2009 (500 ex)
<jean7491> i think stocks of posters "de weg naar de vrijheid " is around brussel (i think), JanC knows probably more

<jean7491> we continue with topic 3. support points map status
<jean7491> mongolito404 is working further
<jean7491> today, when I logged on the website, I had an invitation to update/create my profile of support point
<jean7491> you can check by login on the website, eventually "inhoud aanmaken"
<jean7491> if no comment, next topic 4. Things living in the mailing list
<warddr> I can tell a litle more about the t-shirts
<jean7491> first item - T-shirts for Ubuntu-be ? update ? Warddr
<warddr> JanC and I have done some research to t-shirts that are both eco-friendly, and social friendly for the employers
<warddr> and we found this: http://www.cotton-shirts.eu/en/organic-fair/earthpositive/t-shirts-earth-positive/ to be the perfect t-shirts
<warddr> If we order 100 t-shirts (if it's a good design and a good price we can easily sell them on release party's and fosdem) we will have to pay €5/t-shirts if it's only one color print, for 2 colors it's €5,75, ...
* guydup est parti (Quit: Java user signed off)
<warddr> that's a good price, we can sell for a litle more money (for example €10), and that way we've got some money to buy original ubuntu cd's, or to pay for other actions like this, the next order of t-shirts, ...
<warddr> If we don't print the ubuntu-be logo, just the normal ubuntu logo, we could also contact other loco teams (for example the Dutch loco team) and work together to get a good print, and make it cheaper becouse the more t-shirts we buy the cheaper it becomes
<warddr> *to get a good design
<warddr> Anyone any comments / questions?
<jean7491> do you have ideas about design, logo or ...
<jean7491> additional element ?
<warddr> Not yet, but we can ask that on the mailing list and ask people to make a design, and vote if we get more than 1
<jean7491> if possible, launch the question before the end of the month !
<warddr> I'll do that! But do you all agree to make our own t-shirts? That should be decided first
<jean7491> the project is not yet elaborated, which design ? do we have enough money to buy 100 t-shirts ? finally in the meeting, not enough participants to decide !
<Clamam> where are we gonna get the money to buy the first order of t_shirts?
<jean7491> http://ubuntu-be.org/fr/content/financial-information - we should ask mark vdb for an update of the information
<warddr> I think if we ask the mailing list there will be a design first
<warddr> *soon
<jean7491> you can ask several designs : be only (f+n), only dutch text and general
* warddr est parti (Remote host closed the connection)
<jean7491> btw, taking a decision in ubuntu-be is always a huge problem as we have no organization, but this is another topic !
* warddr (~warddr@Wikipedia/Warddr) a rejoint #ubuntu-be
<jean7491> anything else about t-shirts ?
<warddr> did I miss any message about the t-shirts after this: jean7491> you can ask several designs : be only (f+n), only dutch text and general ?
<jean7491> i said : btw, taking a decision in ubuntu-be is always a huge problem as we have no organization, but this is another topic !
<jean7491> and anything else about t-shirts ?
<jean7491> if nothing else, next item : irc meetings in June - July and August ?
<jean7491> i suggest a meeting on 30/06 for new banner's decision and follow-up t-shirt proposal, ...
<jean7491> is there a need for regular meetings in july and august ? ...
<jean7491> my suggestion : none in july and only 1 meeting in august (18/8), and eventual on call meetings
<Clamam> ok by me
<warddr> I can live with that
<jean7491> hfsdo ?
<jean7491> anyone else ?
<jean7491> ok, agreed
<jean7491> next item - questions not announced in the agenda ? something else to discuss ?
<jean7491> no other question ?
<warddr> I don't have other questions
<jean7491> last topic : as i propose, the next irc meeting will be on 30/06/2010 at 21 h.
* hfsdo est parti (Quit: Leaving)
<jean7491> end of the meeting, thanks for your participation, have a good night !
<Clamam> ok, until 30 june, good night
