Bosnian LUG (Linux User Group) exists for more than 5 years, and has achieved a lot. The very active forums and wiki pages make it promote GNU/Linux and related things in Bosnia really much. Most of the users on the forum and those who appear on usual thursday's meetings use major Linux distributions, such as Debian, Slackware, Gentoo and others, and a great number of them uses Ubuntu. Some of those have contributed to Ubuntu itself a lot, or have some knowledge and experience with Ubuntu; - EmirBeganovic I, for the example, spend a lot of time on #ubuntu, #edubuntu and other Ubuntu-related channels on FreeNode IRC, I've done some things on the wiki and used Ubuntu a lot. Ubuntu is the main thing on my [http://emir.linux.org.ba blog] and I worked a lot on Wikipedia's Ubuntu-related articles, and on Bosnian Wikipedia too. Having Bosnian Loco Team in such a small country with majority of Microsoft Windows users would be a great thing; lots of Ubuntu 5.10 have already been shipped and distributed in the greatest Bosnian cities including capital, Sarajevo. IRC channel (#ubuntu-bs) and mailing lists would help a lot, and users would get significantly faster answers and help. This is why we're doing this.
