About Me

Hello! I work for Canonical as a Quality Assurance Engineer. My areas of responsibility include managing the Ubuntu Bug Squad and Bug Control teams, keeping an eye out for high profile bugs and creating systems for triaging and reporting bugs more effictively. I also help out doing some Stable Release Update verification. I am probably one of the few subscribers to to the ubuntu-bugs mailing list. However, I don't think it is as unmanageable as it initially seems. But I haven't gone on vacation yet. Smile :) I plan on adding some entries to my diary about it.

Contributions

Future Goals

  • publish methods for working with the ubuntu-bugs mailing list

  • find and share methods for increasing efficiency when triaging bugs
  • work on smarter bug reporting to allow bug reporters to submit higher quality bug reports and reduce amount of triaging necessary

Testimonials

I've worked with Brian for years, having merged many branches of his and sponsored uploads for him along the way. He is a very competent developer and I have no doubt that he is ready for core development membership. -- ev
