[http://libmtp.sourceforge.net/ libtmp] brings the Media Transfer Protocol to Linux/GNU. It's based on libptp2, libgphoto2 and and libnjb. There are two types of bug reports: new devices and normal ones. We'll start with new devices:
New Devices If libmtp can't autodetect your player please add the vendor and device ID from the following command(when the device is attached of course):
- lsusb
If you don't know what you need to include, please include the whole file to make sure the required information is included. If the command mtp-detect does output something sensible(with the device plugging into your computer), please add that too to the report. Make sure you're using the latest version, if you don't please test your device too with that latest version.
Normal Reports Please include the following files when a bug occurs, next to the default information. output of the commands: lsusb mtp-detect the file: /var/log/kern.log
Make sure your device is connected to your computer.
