We are celebrating the release of Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) scheduled for October 29. Physical and virtual (IRC & other) events are taking place. Each release cycle a number of efforts happen around the release. Globally, UbuntuDeveloperWeek and UbuntuGlobalJam events happen a month or two before and focus on contributing to the release. Parties (listed below) and UbuntuOpenWeek happen near or after the release.

General Info
Karmic Koala 9.10 is an alpha release. DO NOT install it on production machines. See UbuntuDevelopment/UsingDevelopmentReleases. The final stable version is scheduled to be released on October 29th, 2009.

The Ubuntu Developer Summit for Karmic Koala 9.10 was held Monday 25 May - Friday 29 May 2009, in Barcelona, Spain. A Technical Overview and Blueprints are being used as guides for producing this release.
Several LoCo members are currently running Karmic for testing purposes. Your participation is encouraged but not required.
