Ubuntu California is a group of volunteers who advocate and promote Ubuntu and Free Software in California. We attend and plan events statewide, contact and work with LUGs and other local groups, and act as the public face of the Ubuntu community in California. The group is open to everybody in the state with an interest in spreading and discussing Ubuntu.

Current Ubuntu Release - 12.04 LTS Precise Pangolin
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Lucid Lynx was announced as Ubuntu's stable release April 26th, 2012. Release notes contain important information and should be read before should be read before upgrading or installing.
When downloading 12.04 LTS, please use the *.torrent files and mirrors whenever possible. Using these usually increases your download speed.
For general Ubuntu information please see www.ubuntu.com If you encounter a technical problem please first try using your favorite search engine to find a solution or begin in one of Ubuntu's many community support areas.
