Introduction
Welcome to the California Team wiki! Our goal is to advocate Free Software and spread Ubuntu through as many avenues as possible. We also want to bring open-minded individuals together to share, learn and discuss anything and everything related to Ubuntu.
Headlines
With one week to go, the Release Candidate and Notes are now available. It's a good idea to read about the release before upgrading. The Technical Overview of Jaunty Jackolope 9.04 is a high level outline. The launchpad blueprint was used while organizing the release.
We have launch parties planned for Thurs, April 23 in San Francisco, Fri April 24 in Walnut Creek and Sat, April 25th in Orange, CA with an installfest to follow.

Goals
Meet with and join up with local LUGs (Linux User Groups), like this one in Silicon Valley, or these around Los Angeles.
Have a presence at conferences and events such as Southern California Linux Expo 2008 and Ubuntu Live.
