Welcome to the Ubuntu California wiki!
Ubuntu California is a group of volunteers who advocate and promote Ubuntu and Free Software in California. We attend and plan events statewide, contact and work with LUGs and other local groups, and act as the public face of the Ubuntu community in California. The group is open to everybody in the state with an interest in spreading and discussing Ubuntu.

We hold meetings every other Sunday evening in the #ubuntu-us-ca channel on Freenode IRC. Our IRC Meetings page has more information and dates. All interested people are welcome to join us!

Current Ubuntu Release - 12.10 Quantal Quetzal
Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal was announced as Ubuntu's stable release October 18th, 2012. Release notes contain important information and should be read before should be read before upgrading or installing.
When downloading 12.10, please use the *.torrent files and mirrors whenever possible. Using these usually increases your download speed.
