About Me
attachment:IconsPage/PicIRC.png My name is Christer Edwards, 27yrs old, and I have been an Ubuntu user for two years. I am an [http://www.ubuntu.com/community/processes/newmember Official Ubuntu Member] and founder of the UtahTeam. I teach Linux and create training courseware for a living, and absolutely love it. I work for [http://www.gurulabs.com Guru Labs]. We offer training and courseware across the country.
I got my first introduction to Free Software about a decade ago with FreeBSD, I tried Red Hat 9, Mandrake, Slackware and finally found my place with Ubuntu when 5.04 was released. I have completely switched since!
Ubuntu Community
attachment:IconsPage/IconHandshake.png I am the founder of the UtahTeam. We are, currently, one of the few approved US based teams. We have some great members on this team and I'm proud to be a member of this group. I'm very happy to be able to contribute to the Ubuntu project as a team leader. Currently I am working with other local LUG leaders to organize the [http://www.utosc.org Utah Open Source Conference].
I am also an active Team Mentor as part of the USTeams Project, with the primary goal of establishing a community team in each US state by the end of 2007. So far the response has been amazing and I know we'll reach our goal! I also created and manage the US Teams Planet feed aggregator at [http://planet.ubuntu-us.org US Teams Planet].

2007 Goals
attachment:IconsPage/editor.png Lee Iacocca said, "The discipline of writing something down is the first step toward making it happen." Those wise words are the reason I place my goals here, in an effort to see them realized.
