Desktop Live Session

Live Session Start

Case ID: dls-001

1. Start your machine with the install media in place
2. When ubiquity start select your language in the left column

3. Press Try Ubuntu-"version"

4. Wait for the Live session to start

If you press any key at startup or if you are testing another distribution (Kubuntu, Xubuntu, etc.) the testcase will be as described below

1. Start your machine with the install media in place

2. Select your language for the install and press Enter

3. Select Try without any change to your computer and press Enter

4. Wait for the Live session to start

Case ID: dls-002

1. Click on ubuntu top right

2. Select Shut down... from the drop down list

3. Ensure you get a dialog confirming the shutdown, select Shut Down from it

4. Remove install media and press Enter

Live Session Persistence

Case ID: dls-003

1. Create a partition (on a usb stick or regular disk/image) with a label of 'casper-rw'
2. Boot machine with install media
3. Start your machine with the install media in place
4. When ubiquity start select your language in the left column

5. Press Try Ubuntu-"version"

6. Browse webpages in firefox.
7. Restart live image back into a persistent session
8. Browse with firefox again; awesomebar should suggest webpages that you visited in the previous session

If you press any key at startup or if you are testing another distribution (Kubuntu, Xubuntu, etc.) the testcase will be as described below

5. Press <F6> and add persistent to the boot command line and press enter

6. Wait for the Live session to start
7. Browse webpages in firefox.
8. Restart live image back into a persistent session
9. Browse with firefox again; awesomebar should suggest webpages that you visited in the previous session
