Clear message

The Colorado Ubuntu Linux Team is an Ubuntu "Local Community Team" (aka CoLoCo Team) that advocates the use of Open Source software and Ubuntu Linux in the State of Colorado, US. This is done through CD distribution, team expansion, user-base support, and outreach programs.

The Colorado Local Community Team is not meant to replace our local LUGs but rather enhance their overall experience by having a dedicated place to discuss, contribute, and gain support from local Ubuntu users.

While we were not the first Local Community Team in the USA, we were the first to complete the official process and become fully recognized by the Ubuntu Community Council.

We've recently decided to focus on more frequent / smaller events rather than planning large ones less frequently. Our members have expressed an interest in more casual get togethers to swap war-stories with xorg.conf, share new ideas for software, and help each other trouble shoot random linux server and desktop issues.

  • Denver Area Meetups - One of our members created two Linux meetup groups for both North Denver and South Denver. We've agreed to sponsor these meetups by providing CDs and an ample supply of Ubuntu users and administrators.

  • 10.10 (Maverick) Release Party - These are usually our biggest events, with somewhere between 30 and 50 people. As always, we'll demonstrate new features, talk about where Ubuntu needs to go next, encourage people to submit bug reports and move the development process along, etc. As always, food and beer will be available at the venue.

List here activities that the group has already done. Again provide links to online discussions, reviews, blog entries etc:
