== About Me ==

I am 26 years old, happily married to my best friend, proud caretaker of two dogs and a cat, and live in Bedford, Ohio, US, mere minutes from the banks of the infamous Cuyahoga River.

Dapper 6.06 was my first experience with Ubuntu and Desktop Linux in general, and since then I've transformed into a confirmed Ubuntu cheerleader. I am all about fixing Bug #1.

My background is in Anthropology, Graphic Design, and Illustration, yet what I'm doing for a living would never reflect this. I am currently learning everything possible about Python, Zope, Plone, and Cheetah-Template with the goal of helping my employer move out of its dimly-lit, license-burdened M$ past.

I have the good fortune of working on an Ubuntu Desktop while at work (with Twinview and Beryl, no less!) I plan to implement all Web apps on Ubuntu Servers, and I am pushing for adoption of FOSS software throughout the company. Our primary manufacturing partner, [http://smarttech.com SMART Technologies], has recently announced support for Ubuntu 6.06, and the neighboring state of Indiana has committed to a Linux-focused program for schools, so I'm very hopeful for an Ubuntu-friendly future.
