For some time now, i've been doing translation for the CanadianTeam. But in doing so, i learned that things change too quickly and it is a waste of time because there is already the FrenchTeam and i think they do a really nice work. From that perspective, i've started to wonder where are all the people from my region. I live in Quebec, and there is no QuebecTeam for the moment i write this. I found out that some of us are working with the CanadianTeam, and others are working with the FrenchTeam. I dont want to denied the fact that separating things more than they are now would be bad.

But, i think it is important for me to create a community where we will be able to focus our efforts towards projects which relate to Quebec. Of course this would mean to continue to work with the CanadianTeam and the FrenchTeam. We dont want to stop working with them we want to focus our efforts when we do. We need a place where we can learn about each others, and help each others. We need a community where we can work on project that relate to the Quebec only.

We need to be closer to the Quebec population so that we can advocate Ubuntu more easily. By doing so, we will have more people working on Ubuntu-Qc, Ubuntu-CA and Ubuntu-FR projects that there was without the Ubuntu-Qc Team.

I'm currently creating a web page for the QuebecTeam. It is currently at: http://ubuntu.co-exist.net/

I also seek others people interested to create a QuebecTeam. If you are, please contact me.
