Introduction

moonOS is a complete and fully functional operative system based on the Enlightenment DR17, LXDE and powered by the popular Linux Distribution Ubuntu. moonOS, a project started and designed by the Cambodian artist Tim Chan Rithy (12rithy), is perfect for any Desktop, Laptop PC or even for a Virtual Machine.

Mission

1) Make moonOS tools easy to use and configure your moonOS desktop.

2) A minimum of preinstalled applications with easy ways to install applications and features of the user's choosing.

3) moonOS LX Edition must be lightweight and fast.

Goals

Currently available as a stable (Version 1.0 code name Bopha)

Development version that not available to download (Version 2 conde name Kachana). It will be release at January 2009 based on Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex.
