Placeholder for resources related to the new application indicators effort for Lucid.
Application indicators are menus (usually icons) living on the panel and connected to an application.
Application indicators live in the "indicator-area", a replacement for the notification-area using a set of dbus protocols.
The dbus protocols used are:
StatusNotifier - an FD.o proposal designed by developers of the KDE project to get rid of the Xembed protocol (it's mostly the 'signaling' protocol behind the application indicators)
- dbusmenu - a protocol to exchange menus over dbus, in a toolkit agnostic way (that's roughly the "model" part)
