Ok Its installed, now comes the part where I make everything work exactly how I want it to. well heres the list. (if its all dooable or not)[[BR]] Get windows apps to work to,[[BR]] 3Ds, Lightwave, [[BR]] Gimp will work fine never really liked photoshop anyway. But ide like Micrografx Picture Publisher to work to.[[BR]] Hm thats all I can think of for now, aside from games obveously.[[BR]] CSS, Ut2k4, etc.[[BR]][[BR]] |

But first, I suppose I need to figure out how to install/update/or configure my video drivers,[[BR]] Ive got an Nvidia 5200 128Mb that has Dual Svga out. the left monitor looks fine, Right one atm looks kind of like a malfunctioning old nes game. [[BR]] I have used a few distros throughout my runtime "err life", And just recently decided it's time for me to get serous about learning more.[[BR]] My first attempt was gentoo, I failed miserably.[[BR]] Sense then I've been looking for a distro that will support AMD64 and is FREE(without membership fees and all) that is easy to work with but not Linspire easy.[[BR]] Long story short, I'm in an irc room and someone posts urls to screenshots of there Ubuntu desktop, from there I google...[[BR]] And what I find is a distro that is FREE, supports AMD64, and has an entire beautifully laid out wiki dedicated to it where people all work together and share there information![[BR]] The iso is not even done downloading and I think I already love Ubuntu. dimension128 at gmail dot com |
