Current Version Of Main Multimedia Packages

Known Problems

As of this writing, the Ubuntu Studio Live CD installer (Ubiquity) has an incompatibility with our new GTK theme, causing black text on a dark gray background. The status of this issue can be seen here.

Ubuntu Studio uses the same XFCE desktop environment as the official Xubuntu release, and thus, may be affected by some of the same issues. This is also true of the core packages of the mainline Ubuntu release. You can see their release notes here (Xubuntu) and here (Ubuntu)

Support

Ubuntu Studio Disco Dingo (19.04) will be supported for 9 months until January 2020. If you need Long Term Support, it is recommended you use Ubuntu Studio Bionic 18.04 instead.
