A driver is one that helps to move along the project of what the sub-team deals with by keeping to do lists to have goals met, communicating with members of that sub-team via mailing-list and IRC channel, and to report to the main team in team meetings.  They must be quite familiar with all the team's processes and is willing to get their hands dirty with something (not everything).

Internet Relay Chat (IRC)

The docteam IRC channel is #ubuntu-doc on the irc.freenode.net server. If you need to ask a quick question or rapidly discuss an issue, this is the place to do it.

There is a log of #ubuntu-doc at http://irclogs.ubuntu.com/, updated once per hour.

Mailing List (ML)

The address for the list is ubuntu-doc@lists.ubuntu.com. To subscribe visit http://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-doc. The list archive is at http://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-doc/.

It is possible to send an email to the Doc Team without joining our mailing list, if you have some suggestions or concerns but don't wish to join our team. There might be a slight delay as non-subscriber messages have to be passed through the list's anti-spam controls manually, but we will receive & reply to your messages!

The list can also be read with a browser or newsreader at Gmane

Sub-Team Drivers

We also have drivers for the three sub-teams within our main team.

NOTE: We are looking for a Desk'top driver at the moment.
