Recently trying my luck at doing some packaging for Ubuntu; some Documentation every now and again.  General Ubuntu user and Kubuntu fan; spend many long hours helping in #ubuntu and #kubuntu where I can; been on Kubuntu before it was properly called that ;-). Contemplating seriously getting into packaging for Ubuntu, but more likely to try my luck with documentation.

Started documentation, but couldn't go through with it for Breezy as I had a lot of KDE doc stuff to do; main work I've done is on the KDE Userguide and the Konqueror Handbook. Hoping to be able to contribute properly to [K]ubuntu for 6.04, and it should be fairly simple as I already am quite familiar with DocBook, and adventurous with my distribution. A big focus for me will still be providing help where I can in the channels. A big focus for me will still be providing help where I can in the channels; main reason for application as a member was a recommendation to do so from others, in order to be able to help with the facilitation of the channels where possible. There have been several cases where abusive language and behaviour has gone unmoderated for long periods of time because often developers (who are most likely to have OP-powers) have not been around (and being coders, perhaps rightly so).

Hoping to be able to contribute properly to [K]ubuntu for 6.04, and it should be fairly simple as I already am quite familiar with DocBook and subversion, as well as adventurous with my distribution.

  • Get involved more with Documentation, maybe try getting into packaging; take appropriate steps to be able to be involved with the channel facilitation.
