Here we define who the target users of the fridge are and how we can best serve each. During an IRC meeting in #ubuntu-website on Dec 17th 2008 nand, boredandblogging and newz2000 created this information.

 * locos - want to know what other locos are doing
 * insiders - trying to stay in touch with what's going on
 * outsiders / press - looking for use cases or success stories about Ubuntu

Not a target audience:

 * People who don't know what Ubuntu is

 * Events
 * Bug jams
 * Free culture showcase
 * Open week

Turned off by:

 * Too much technical stuff
 * Low level techincal discussions or topics

Interested in:

 * MOTU
 * Docs
 * Testing
 * News from their own team

Turned off by:

 * newbie stuff (not an issue with typical fare, but maybe user submitted content would introduce this)

=== Outsiders ===

Interested in:

 * What's going on in Ubuntu
 * News about upstream, xorg, kernel, ati hardware support, gnome info


Turned off by:

 * Having to join a mailing list or IRC
 * Having to look upstream
