The team advocates and supports Ubuntu for home, business, and educational use in New York State. By bringing the freedom of choice, power of the community, and stability of Ubuntu to the public, the team believes it can change the face of computing for the better.   • Support Ubuntu locally

    • Support existing New York state GNU/Linux user groups

    • Partner with local computer user groups to assist with GNU/Linux and other free and open source software (FLOSS) events

    • Hold educational sessions open to the public
    • Host and assist with GNU/Linux install fests
  • Support Ubuntu at the state level
    • Assist New York State Ubuntu users with finding:
      • Local GNU/Linux groups
      • Local computer retailers that support Ubuntu and GNU/Linux

    • Advocate for the adoption of Ubuntu:

    • Assist local computer retailers with adopting Ubuntu
    • Educate local computer retailers and consultants about Canonical partner programs
  • Assist our members grow in the global Ubuntu community
    • Help our members find Ubuntu teams that align with their personal interests
