A software of this quality has definitly his place in a Linux distrib. such as Ubuntu.
I have packaged the latest stable release of Lilypond (maybe it will soon be included in the official repositories ??), and I work on the packages of some of its built-dependancies.

Getting involved

As a free software addict, I try to persuade people that they should use such softwares, even if they can't leave the Redmond's OS.BR I do my best to help new Ubuntu users, in live discussions on #ubuntu-fr.

Working on Lilypond

I am one of the french translators of the [http://lilypond.org Lilypond website]. Lilypond is the "GNU Music Typesetter," and I do my best to help people using it. To do so, I've built a small website, [http://gnu-pond.tuxfamily.org GNU-Pond], which provides tips and tricks for french-speaking users.

Ubuntu direct involvement

I have packaged the latest stable release of Lilypond (maybe it will soon be included in the official repositories ??), and I work on the packages of some of its built-dependancies.
