## The attachments to this page (the images/logos) were created by me, Sudomania4 for the US - Georgia
## LoCo Team. I have been wanting to help with a LoCo team in my area for a while, but did not want to start
## my own, because I was not sure about how much time I could dedicate to such a group (I have been busy
## lately). While considering forming a LoCo Team, I thought up and designed this logo. If you hate it, feel
## free to remove it, I was just trying to help this new team and contribute to the spreading of Ubuntu, but if
## you like the logo, feel free to modify or use it. I got the font used in the logo from the DIYMarketing page ## on this wiki: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DIYMarketing Good luck starting this LoCo Team!
## Also, note that this is an early form of the logo. I could change some letters to Ubuntu-brown, or resize
## the logo, or a number of other things. This was merely meant as a starting logo for a starting team.
## One final note, I added the Georgia Team to this page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LoCoTeamList
## Nice logo Sudomania4. Thanks for your contribution. I sent a message to your Ubuntu forum account. My email address is in there. Write me back when you have a chance. -John

News - IRC Meeting this Sunday!
We will have the IRC channel up every Sunday from 1-5pm. So feel free to drop in.
Note: The IRC channel is now "ubuntu-georgia" instead of "ubuntu-us-ga" in following with most of the other LoCos.
This group's purpose is to help promote and support Ubuntu and Open Source Software through out the State of Georgia.
Join by adding yourself to the Launchpad page at: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-us-ga
Our mailing list is a great way to get in touch. Use it to communicate any problems, questions, or comments related to Georgia and Ubuntu.
For more information and to sign-up for our mailing list visit: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-us-ga
The #ubuntu-georgia channel on the Freenode IRC network can be used as needed for online meetings.
To get onto our IRC channel open your IRC client (if you need one you can get XChat out of Add/Remove Applications). Connect to the FreeNode Network (In XChat pull down the "IRC" menu, click "connect" and select "FreeNode"). Then join the ubuntu-georgia channel (in XChat type "/join #ubuntu-georgia" in the input box) and you are in.
IRC meetings are held ever Sunday 1-5pm ET.
Visit our [:/Meetings:Meetings page] for more meetings and meet-ups.
Visit our [:/Projects:Projects page] for a list of on going projects. This is where you can find where to help, and suggest things to be done by the LoCo.
