Created the [http://cutlersoftware.com/ubuntusetup/archive/website/original/ Windows-based Ubuntu Installer], and wrote its [http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=305109 Concept], [:install.exe:Specification] and [:install.exe/Prototype:Prototype] ([https://launchpad.net/setup-ubuntu archived original code]). The Windows-based Ubuntu Installer has now been renamed to [https://launchpad.net/wubi Wubi] and [https://launchpad.net/lupin Lupin] ([http://wubi.sourceforge.net Website]), and is being merged into Ubuntu 7.10.

Created the Linux-based Ubuntu Installer, [https://launchpad.net/lubi Lubi] ([http://lubi.sourceforge.net/lubi.html Website]).

Created the Loopmounted Virtual Partition Manager for Wubi and Lubi, [https://launchpad.net/lvpm LVPM] ([http://lubi.sourceforge.net/lvpm.html Website]).

Created the Ubuntu Netboot-based Installer for Windows and Linux, [https://launchpad.net/unetbootin UNetbootin] ([http://lubi.sourceforge.net/unetbootin.html Website]).

Created the Bootable Ubuntu Backup creation utility, [https://launchpad.net/bubakup Bubakup] ([http://lubi.sourceforge.net/bubakup.html Website]).

Currently developing Bubakup, UNetbootin, and Lubi, and helping to merge Wubi, Lupin, and LVPM into Ubuntu.

About Me

My name is Geza Kovacs, and I'm currently a high school senior attending Santiago High School, Garden Grove, CA.

I am the founder of the Santiago Computer Club, a club at our school which aims to educate students and the community about free software, through classroom presentations demonstrating the usage of Ubuntu and other free software such as OpenOffice, and by participating in local free software-related events such as InstallFests. My skills include writing bash shell scripts, system administration and some Python programming skills. I am currently learning how to program in other languages such as C.
