Gilberto Gabon or "Gilbert" is a self-taught programmer. He started with the days of dBase III+ and Clipper Summer '87. He did some programming stuff with his previous employer as well as his present one. He did a full blown Point-of-Sale (POS) and Inventory Management System software for a drugstore in his locality (Tacloban City, Philippines). He did it all using Clipper 5.2e. He coded everything. He's interested in free-stuff such as this free operating system (Ubuntu-Linux) and he believes in the Open Source advocacy. He believes that leveraging people and providing them with the necessary tools - together they can make dramatic changes and contribution in order to build a better and harmonious planet to live on.
