I 'm a 21 year old man currently studing computer engineering in Techinal University of Crete / Greece (http://www.ece.tuc.gr). I 've been a computer hobbist for more than seven years and a free software fan for more than six.

Since last year I've stopped being just a power user of f/s and I've started contributing projects by writing patches or plugins. I tried ubuntu during it's preview release for warty and I'm currently running hoary in two machines (workstation/server) because I like the organization and the technical advantage of ubuntu (compared with other distributions) and I totally agree with the goals - both technical and ideological - ubuntu team has set.

Interested in:

* Promoting ubuntu in the Greek Community (install fests, documentation, free-for-all cds etc)

* Supporting Greek LanguagePacks and other language specific packages

Work done for the GreekTeam:

• Tracking of greek language speficic bugs in warty and now in hoary. See http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com and search for reporter 'seadog'.

• Package building

• Translating Gnome Applications. Working on applications installed by default in ubuntu which belong in fifth-toe, office and extras (like gthumb) http://l10n-status.gnome.org/HEAD/el/index.html
