Gutsy Gibbon is the code name for Ubuntu 7.10, the current Ubuntu release. It was released on 18 October 2007. See the GutsyReleaseSchedule .
The name "Gutsy Gibbon" was announced in the mailing lists by MarkShuttleworth.
