Mission Statement

+ Spread the Ubuntu spirit as outlined [http://www.ubuntulinux.org/community/conduct here].

+ Cater for localized support and education of Israeli Ubuntu users.

+ Be responsible for marketing efforts for Ubuntu in Israel, to achieve maximum distribution amongst Israeli computer users.

Represent the Israeli Ubuntu community by means of:

• Wishlists.
• Development.
• Derived distributions.
• Connection point between the greater worldwide community and the local one.

• Dedicated IRC channel, hosted on the freenode server that goes by the name #ubuntu-il.

• General purpose mailing list at ubuntu-il@lists.ubuntu.com .

• An active forum at http://www.ubuntu-il.com/

• HeBuntu - Localized, Hebrew optimized port of Ubuntu linux. (Probably inactive)

• Mini spec for improved Hebrew display and usability out of the box - FurtheringHebrewSupport
