Ubuntu Israel Team

Mission Statement

• Spread the Ubuntu spirit as outlined in the [http://www.ubuntulinux.org/community/conduct Code of Conduct]

• Cater for localized support and education of Israeli Ubuntu users
• Be responsible for marketing efforts for Ubuntu in Israel, to achieve maximum distribution amongst Israeli computer users

• Spread the Ubuntu spirit in Israelis' everyday lives, not only in computing

Represent the Israeli Ubuntu community by means of:

• Wishlists
• Development
• Derived distributions
• Connection point between the greater worldwide community and the local one

• HeBuntu - Localized, Hebrew optimized port of Ubuntu linux. (Probably inactive)

• Automatically created language packs, and language support files packages - DONE

• Mini spec for improved Hebrew display and usability out of the box - FurtheringHebrewSupport

• Get the site and wiki back online, and move to the official domain given by Canonical, http://ubuntu-il.org/
