I installed Slackware 2.2 (kernel 1.2.1 if memory serves) on my AMD486DX2\80 in 1995 and have been a huge open source advocate ever since. I run Ubuntu and Gentoo desktops with an OpenBSD firewall at home. Professionally, I'm a sys admin at a local data center here in Dallas, TX. Luckily, 95% of the servers I maintain are Linux. (Unfortunately, 99% of the Linux servers are RedHat based :) |

In my spare time I like to program. I started coding with C in 1995. In fact, it's the reason I installed Linux. Free C compiler. Currently I am learning Python and think it's a great multi-purpose language. |
