Location: Dallas, TX Age: 25

In 1995, I installed Slackware 2.2 (kernel 1.2.1 if memory serves) on my PC and have been a huge open source advocate ever since. Most of my Linux years I ran debian as my main OS. I currently run Ubuntu and Gentoo desktops at home protected by an OpenBSD "dedicated firewal" box.

Professionally, I'm a sys admin at a local data center here in Dallas, TX.

In my spare time I like to program. I started teaching myself C in 1995. In fact, it's the reason I installed Linux. It came with a free C compiler. Currently I am exploring Python.
