I am from the Philippines. I have found the Ubuntu community to be one of the most active and aggressive in pushing GNU/Linux as a platform of choice for everyday computing.

I also served as part of the Edubuntu Council in 2006.

I'm also involved with a book project for [http://www.manning.com Manning Publications] titled [http://www.manning.com/galvin Ubuntu Server in Action]. I am writing it along with my co-authors MattGalvin, JeffSchering and JordanMantha.
