I first began using ubuntu at 5.10, as dual boot to my windows xp install, sometime in early 2006, I reformatted and upgraded to 6.06, forgot windows and have been using ubuntu for everything ever since, upgraded to 6.10. I only use a laptop now, the kids have the dreaded windows onstalled on the HP tower we have, fro the games, this is what impresses me so much about ubuntu, my laptop has a bit under 256mb ram(shared with graphics) and still runs beryl and ALL 3D graphics it produces.

I'm not a programmer or anything like that, I have played with a bit of html and some java at times, I am very interested in ubuntu and, while not everyone is going to want to run ubuntu, it is only fair that they should know there is a choice.
