| I first ran into Ubuntu because of one of my friends testing it out gave me a CD. I tried it on one of my older computers, beleiving that Linux was old, ugly, and was just a toy. After trying it out for a few weeks, I really started to enjoy it. I finally installed it on my main computer, my laptop. I currently dual-boot with Windows for school, but use Ubuntu for everything else. | I first ran into Ubuntu because of one of my friends testing it out gave me a CD. About Me
I have been a user of Ubuntu since late 2005(Breezy Badger). I have recently joined the Georgia (US) LoCo, and started work on the New User Team. I have also become an Eagle Scout over the past year. Other than that, I enjoy camping (hiking, etc.), target shooting, and working with computers (duh!).
Why I chose Ubuntu
I first ran into Ubuntu because of one of my friends testing it out gave me a CD. I tried it on one of my older computers, beleiving that Linux was old, ugly, and was just a toy. After trying it out for a few weeks, I really started to enjoy it. I finally installed it on my main computer, my laptop -- and I have not looked back!
