EdubuntuMIRCandidates
Jaunty targets
- lybniz (mathematical function graph plotter) - could duplicate functionality but is small and user friendly. I'm thinking more for elementary/junior high
- stellarium ( real-time photo-realistic sky generator) - very cool astronomy stuff
- octave (GNU Octave language for numerical computations) - Matlab-compatibility. also needs lam, mpich, hdf5, gnuplot
qalculate (Powerful and easy to use desktop calculator) - Unit conversion, plotting, tons of features. Already has a MIR. also needs libqalculate, cln, gnuplot
- jokosher (simple and easy to use audio multi-tracker) - also needs gnonlin
