Julius Bloch aka juliux

I am 21 years old and study computer sciences at the technical university in Dresden/Germany. My first contact with ubuntu was 2 weeks before the warty release and since this time a only use ubuntu.

I am on of the organizers from the german fair team. Our website is http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Messen/ (at the moment only in German)

In 2005 I presented ubuntu/GNOME on the following fairs in Germany:

• 3 days at the [http://www.cebit.com Cebit] in Hanover.

• At the [http://www.linuxtag.org LinuxTage] in Karlsruhe.

• At the [http://www.linux-info-tage.de LinuxInfoTage] in Dresden.

• At the [http://www.linuxworldexpo.com LinuxWorldExpo] in Frankfurt.

• At the Linux Tage in Essen (only ubuntu).

In 2006 I presented ubuntu on the following fairs in Germany:

• Linuxtage Chemnitz at 4th and 5th of March 2006
• Cebit Hanover from the 9th until 15th of March 2006

In 2006 we plan to present Ubuntu on the following fairs in Germany:

• Linuxtag in Wiesbaden from the 3rd until 6th May 2006 (a booth was registered)
• Systems in Munich
• Linux World Expo, Cologne

Other work related on ubuntu

• I maintenance in the wiki at [http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de], especially the [http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/GNOME GNOME] part.

• Sine the begining of 2005 I support the #ubuntu-de IRC Channel on irc.freenode.net.

• I am also a founder member of the [http://verein.ubuntu-de.org ubuntu german association].

• In this association I am at the moment the treasurer.

Special ubuntu projects i have started

• A special edubuntu installation for fairs/conferences called "Ubuntu Deutschland Messeserver" ([http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/UDMS]) (only German ATM)
