HISTORY

This Loco Team was formed in March 2006 by 3 guys and continues to grow having both active and non active affiliates and also helping out in voluntary works in the open source fields.

MEMBERS

We are currently all residents of Nairobi and expect to grow to be a more effective team.

AIMS

  • Provide consultancy and tutor services to newbies
  • Distributing Ubuntu CDs locally to businesses, schools, institutions, organisations and individual users.
  • Develop "Kenyan like" logos
  • Develop a mirror site.
  • Local community developer.
  • Ubuntu-and linux in general, training and consultancy.

MEETINGS

Our meetings are always held on the first and third Saturdays of each month. The venue is always agreed on during the last meeting ranging from residential houses to campuses. Nairobi residents wishing to be members and those who would like to obtain the Ubuntu CDs please contact RonaldOdero via email; ronaldodero@yahoo.com. You can also get support via our main mailing list ubuntu-ke@lists.ubuntu.com or at the IRC channel #ubuntu-ke at freenode.net.
