Outstanding actions from last meeting
amitk to meet with keybuk on automated boot tests
- Noting to add, continuing this to the next meeting.
Lucid Release Status: Bugs (Release Meeting Bugs / RC Milestoned Bugs / Release Targeted Bugs
Lucid Release Status: Milestoned Features
- Nothing kernel specific listed there.
Blueprints: kernel-lucid-bug-handling (ogasawara)
Nothing new to report.
Blueprints: kernel-lucid-review-of-ubuntu-delta (apw)
Nothing new to report.
Blueprints: kerne-lucid-kernel-config-review (apw)
Config checker is now in and checking things. We have a few config changes coming down the pipe from other teams which are going in.
Blueprints: kernel-lucid-kms (sconklin)
apw looked at a nouveau drop which may be compatible with our tree. He is trying to ascertain if it would be good as a default. The main drop is definately an 'lbm' style component.
Blueprints: kernel-lucid-suspend-resume (manjo)
Nothing to report there
Blueprints: kernel-lucid-apparmor-development (jjohansen)
Upstream AppArmor update incoming today, just cleaning up some commit messages. The kernel side of policy optimizations is done, should have user side dfa minimization in by the end of the week. If there is time the table packing part of optimization can be done for alpha3.
Blueprints: kernel-lucid-boot-performance (apw, csurbhi)
Surbhi and other other's performance patches have been pulled. 18.104.22.168 brought in some regressions in performance (boot performance) those turn out to be present already but triggered more often in this combination. apw thinks he has this nailed, an interaction between acpi battery and hpet. A couple of patches are being tested to sort it out and may give us another 0.05 in boot time as a bonus.
Other Release Tasks: Lucid Audio Support (bjf)
"crack-of-the-day" builds going. Email has be sent out to a few of the alsa folks letting them know about them. A more general announcement will go out today.
Other Release Tasks: Lucid Better Power Mgt (amitk)
Nothing new here.
Other Release Tasks: EC2 Lucid Kernel Status (jjohansen)
An EC2 update should land today. This is against the ec2 branch in lucid.
Status: Lucid (apw)
Recently applied 22.214.171.124 but had regressions. Those look resolved. Would be uploading today, but the compilers are building right now so will have to wait for those to complete. REMINDER: you want anything in Alpha-2 we need it in and uploaded by monday at the very latest. If its going to be monday make sure apw knows as he wants to upload Friday with people in the air etc.

Proposed kernels could move to updates soon. Trying to get some feedback on the arm kernels to preferably move them together with the main kernel. The next upstream stable (126.96.36.199, 188.8.131.52) are coming up.
Incoming Bugs: Regressions (ogasawara)

I'll send email. Due to the holiday, there wasn't much activity the previous bug day: http://qa.ubuntu.com/reports/ogasawara/kernel-bugday/20091222.html The next bug day should be next week but we'll be sprinting. I'll postpone it to Tues Jan 19.
Open Discussion or Questions
* Server team would like us to get a body looking at Bug #499785.
Launchpad bug 499785 in linux "nic-usb-modules should include asix" [Medium,Triaged] https://launchpad.net/bugs/499785
- ogasawara is going to send a patch for that shortly.
* There will not be a meeting next week, the kernel team will be in London sprinting (and trying to stay warm).
